Scholarship Resources

Scholarships are free money that you must apply for, typically from a state or local level organization, or from the college you are attending. They are awarded based on merit, such as grades, talent, interests, or demographics. Scholarships often have an application similar to college applications. There are thousands of scholarships, and so students should take the initiative to search and find some to apply to using these resources.

Tips for scholarships: Conduct your own search! Ask your bank, your parents' work, your work, your church, your gym, your local clubs whether they have a scholarship. The more local and niche a scholarship is, the less competitive it will be! Also, check any school that you apply to in order to see what scholarships might be available.
